ATLANTIC OCEAN (Feb. 21, 2018) U.S. Marines and Sailors assigned to the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit disembark a UH-1Y Venom helicopter during a tactical recovery of aircraft and personnel drill aboard the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock USS New York (LPD 21) Feb. 21, 2018. Marines conduct mission rehearsals to maintain a constant state of readiness and improve their techniques, tactics, and procedures while deployed to the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations. U.S. 6th Fleet, headquartered in Naples, Italy, conducts the full spectrum of joint and naval operations, often in concert with allied and interagency partners, in order to advance U.S. national interests and security and stability in Europe and Africa.
