AUSTIN, Texas (Dec. 12, 2019) – Naval Service Training Command (NSTC) Command Master Chief, Master Chief Petty Officer Jimmy Hailey III, left, speaks with University of Texas Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC) midshipmen during a site visit to the university campus. Commander, NSTC, Rear Adm. Jamie Sands, and Hailey spoke to the midshipmen about leadership, changes to the NROTC program to improve training and the need for warfighters ready to lead the Navy and Marine Corps into the future. NROTC units report to NSTC, and visits such as this provide professional development for midshipmen and allow Sands and Hailey to speak directly with midshipmen, staff, and university leaders.
