Australian army Pvt. Simon Rowland, with 9th Force Support Battalion, based in Brisbane, stirs sausage curry that will be served for lunch during Talisman Sabre 2011 in at Camp Rock in Rockhampton July 12. More than 4,000 meals are served daily during TS11 to U.S. and Australian service members at the mess hall on Camp Rocky. TS11 is a biennial combined training activity, designed to train Australian and U.S. forces in planning and conducting Combined Task Force operations to improve Australian Defence Force/U.S. combat readiness and interoperability. It reflects the closeness of the alliance and the strength and flexibility of the ongoing military-military relationship.
