Australian Army Sgt. Chris Owen, a soldier with 1 Close Health Battalion, center, speaks with the liaison officer for the Australian forces concerning medical supplies to treat the sick and wounded of Waratah village during Talisman Saber 2013, July 22. More than 40 Australians and Marines are currently participating as role-players within the village during Talisman Saber to train service members to establish a successful relationship with a community not accustomed to foreign aid.
