Brig. Gen. Pete Jones, Deputy Commanding General-Support for 3rd Infantry Division, bids Happy Holidays to Gold Star Family Members before the departure of the 8th Annual Snowball Express Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013, at the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport. The Snowball Express is an all-expenses-paid charter flight to Dallas for more than 1,800 children and spouses of fallen U.S. military service members who lost their loved one since Sept. 11, 2001. American Airlines and American Eagle, via the American Airlines Kids In NeedSM program, partnered with Snowball Express to fly these children and spouses to Dallas for a few days of fun and friendship.
