Capt. Nadine Wiley Demoura and Sgt. 1st Class Melisa Washington clean up debri surrounding a primary school Sept. 10, 2020, in Bince/Binac, Kosovo. Demoura and Washington, who are members of the NATO-led Kosovo Force Regional Command East’s task force public affairs detachment and are organic to the 100th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment, Texas Army National Guard, accompanied civil-military cooperation (CIMIC) and liaison monitoring team LMT) personnel at the school cleanup. RC-E CIMIC, LMT, and public affairs troops often participate in similar cleanup efforts and events in order to strengthen the relationships between KFOR and Kosovo communities. All KFOR personnel are charged with ensuring a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement for all the people in Kosovo in accordance with the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244.
