Summary

Chief Warrant Officer 3 Pablo Cheveres cuts the cake with an Afghan National Army soldier at the grand opening and ribbon-cutting of the newly-constructed storage warehouse on the ANA base in Parwan, Oct. 17, 2012. The warehouse ribbon-cutting followed a logistics shura that addressed sustainability of the Afghan operations and facilities from a logistics standpoint. The new warehouse will be completely Afghan run, giving the ANA full responsibility for sustainment of their base, and marking one more step towards full Afghan control of the Detention Facility in Parwan. The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service. The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) was established in 1934 by President Franklin Roosevelt.
