Summary
Citizen-soldiers of the Puerto Rico Army National Guard 1473rd Quartermaster Company, received a warm welcome home on Oct. 6 at Muniz Air Force Base, Carolina, Puerto Rico, after a long-year deployment in Afghanistan. The staff of the PRNG along with the State Secretary Kenneth McKlintock and their family members received the soldiers. Upon arrival and after deplaning the aircraft that brought them home, a huge display of Puerto Rican flags could be seen. The Puerto Rican soldiers have been historically known for traveling with their Puerto Rican flag to wherever they are deployed. Puerto Rican soldiers have served in all wars the United States have been involved ever since becoming part of the U.S.
