Civilian personnel with Marine Corps Air Station Kaneohe Bay prevent foreign object damage to aircraft by cleaning the runway using a sweeper truck and a FOD Boss sweeping attachment, Aug. 18, 2015. Debris on the runway can cause damage to aircraft engines and tires as well as other safety hazards. Civilian and military personnel with MCAS K-Bay share the mission of all of Marine Corps Base Hawaii: to provide facilities, programs and services in direct support of units, individuals and families in order to enhance and sustain combat readiness for all operating forces and tenant organizations aboard the installation.
