Coast Guard awards local law enforcement for Operation Logan's Charge
Summary
PORTSMOUTH, Va. - Members of 11 law enforcement agencies and Coast Guard Sector Hampton Roads pose for a group photograph Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009 after Capt. Mark Ogle, commander of Sector Hampton Roads, presented them with the meritorious team commendation award for their participation in Operation Logan's Charge. The operation was a multi-agency effort to board recreational vessels and inform boaters of boating safety regulations and practices before, during, and after the Memorial Day weekend, which resulted in a better-educated boating public.
