Coast Guard Cutter Forward conducts Africa Partnership Station (APS) initiative

Forward before joining a U.S. Coast Guard law enforcement team to board the
vessel off the coast of Sierra Leone, June 24, 2011.
A Sierra Leone law enforcement team sailed with the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter
Forward during a portion of the cutter's scheduled deployment in West Africa
supporting the African Maritime Law Enforcement Partnership (AMLEP) mission,
an operational branch of the Africa Partnership Station (APS). During the
deployment, the Forward crew worked with the host nation law enforcement
team to increase awareness and deter illegal fishing off the coast of West
Africa.
