Col. Gary Kamauoha, 9th Mission Support Command and officer in charge of the exercise, and 1st Lt. Joseph Ruhnke, U.S. project lead and 871st Engineer Company commander, brief Lt. Gen. Marciano Norman, commander of the Tentara Nasional Indonesia Training and Doctrine Command, on the current status of construction at Situ Gede, June 14. U.S. Army Reservists and Indonesian soldiers have partnered to build a large community center and a public market that will benefit the village, which is located in the outskirts of Bogor. The construction is part of a humanitarian civic action project, a major component of Exercise Garuda Shield.
