Col. Ivan Denton (left), garrison commander and Maj. Gen. R. Martin Umbarger (right), adjutant general of Indiana present Kristen Brown (center), mayor of the City of Columbus, Ind., a Camp Atterbury Rock plaque for her participation as the keynote speaker in the 21st Annual Veterans’ Memorial Commemoration service held here, Aug 11. The event included a prelude by the Southern Indiana Pipes and Drums, a 21-gun rifle salute by the Camp Atterbury Color Guard team, the playing of taps, and a wreath ceremony to honor units and veterans that have deployed through Camp Atterbury since World War II.
