Col. Michael Gough, Marine Aircraft Group 13 commanding officer, departs Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Ariz. on his final flight as MAG-13 Commander May 21. Gough will turn over command of MAG-13 to Col. Chris McPhillips Thurs, May 24 aboard MCAS Yuma. Gough, who took command of MAG-13 in May 2010 and oversaw the build-up and arrival of the F-35B Lightning II to MCAS Yuma, will transfer to Camp Pendleton and serve as the I Marine Expeditionary Force Chief of Staff. A naval aviator since 1989, Gough previously served in Yuma on three previous occasions as an AV-8B Harrier pilot with Marine Attack Squadron 211 and commander of VMA-311.
