Command Sgt. Maj. Marvin Hill (left), a Memphis, Tenn.,
Summary
Command Sgt. Maj. Marvin Hill (left), a Memphis, Tenn., native, and the command sergeant major for Multi-National Force - Iraq, meet Soldiers of the 1st Sustainment Brigade, May 5. One of his stops was with the 377th Combat Heavy Company, 165th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 1st Sust. Bde., as they perform a five-year service on a heavy equipment transport system. "I met active duty Soldiers, I spoke with Army Reserve Soldiers, and I laughed with National Guard Soldiers," said Hill. "What was most impressive was that I couldn't tell the difference. Prior to my arrival as the command sergeant major, MNF-I, I served as the command sergeant major for First Army, (which is) responsible for the training, readiness, mobilization, and deployment of Army Reserve and National Guard formations. I was able to look at a unit and immediately identify its component. That was not the case today." (U.S. Army photo/Sgt. Jennifer Schweizer)
