Contracted construction engineers use a Fitzpatrick/Caterpillar M312 wheeled excavator to begin work on the runway reconstruction project at Royal Air Force (RAF) Mildenhall, United Kingdom. An estimated 25,000-tons of runway surface are being removed to an off-site recycling yard along with 33,000-tons of concrete.
