Crane Army Ammunition Activity is pushing the use of technology in order to be more efficient and effective. Toughbooks are being used to bridge the gap in communication between office personnel and field crews, and so far they have been successful. In the office, the tablets can connect to the desktop for a larger screen, or a keyboard. Crew leaders can update schedules and planographs directly in the tablet, making it available for crews in the field to see changes immediately, instead of seeing the changes the next time they come into the office.
