Dave Warneke, from the Pittsburgh District and working as a quality assurance engineer for temporary emergency power in Puerto Rico, inspects one of the semi-trailer sized generators installed throughout the island on Dec. 24, 2017. Warneke, along with his linguist, is one of dozens of quality assurance teams that travels to all reaches of the island to ensure the more than 1,000 generators installed here are providing power to the critical facilities they are connected to. “If we see anything that requires immediate maintenance, we call the mission manager and they fix it right away,” Warneke said. “Hospitals are always the number-one priority, we’re always making sure they are good.”
