WEEKLY STRIKE UPDATE: Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve conducted 210 strikes this week, 161 strikes in Iraq and 49 strikes in Syria from Dec. 26-Jan. 1. This week's strikes supported Iraqi Security Forces in multiple cities, to include:
- 44 strikes near ‪#‎Mosul‬ as ISF continues isolating Daesh in the city.
- 17 strikes near ‪#‎Sinjar‬ as coalition forces degrade Daesh's ability to move fighters and supplies between Iraq and Syria.
In Syria:
- Six strikes near Ar Raqqah in Syria destroyed Daesh assets to include gas and oil separation plants.
