FRCE stepped in to in to take on the repair, checking and testing of the component several months earlier than planned after Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center at Tinker Air Force Base experienced coronavirus-related workforce shortages. The valve is an integral part of the aircraft’s environmental control system, and acts as a backup to maintain proper cabin air pressure above 23,000 feet in the case where the cabin air pressure regulator fails to function.
