Edwin Roldan, an instructor team chief at the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation, briefs members of the Conference of Central American Armed Forces (CFAC) battalion in the legal aspect of a peacekeeping operations mission March 19. This battalion staff training and seminar is an opportunity for CFAC partners (Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua) to build partnerships, encourage communications and planning, and familiarize themselves with United Nations peacekeeping operations and procedures prior to the start of the Peacekeeping Operations-Americas 2012 to be held in Santiago, Chile, in May 2012.
