E-2087 North American F-100A (52-5778) Super Sabre on the Rogers Dry Lakebed in a 1955 photograph. NACA High-Speed Flight Station, Edwards, California, flew this F-100 Super Sabre from 1954 to 1960 to investigate stability and control features of the then-new supersonic Air Force fighter.
