Summary
FORT BENNING, Ga. – In an August 2019 photo, Soldiers attending the Henry Caro Noncommissioned Officer Academy as students in its Infantry Advanced Leader Course take part in machine gun training in which students must maneuver their weapons squads as they would in combat. As the academy prepares for the arrival of hundreds of new students this month, it's launching a rigorous set of precautions to limit the risk of COVID-19 exposure. Those include COVID-19 nasal swab testing for each student newly arrived for class, restricting entry to school grounds, placing limits on students' movements, and rigorous cleaning of classrooms six times daily, among other measures. The school is part of the U.S. Army Maneuver Center of Excellence, and trains Infantry and Armor noncommissioned officers.
