FORT HOOD, Texas-- Gen. Frank Grass, Chief, National Guard Bureau, Mrs. Patricia Grass, and Chief Master Sgt. Mitchell Brush, Senior Enlisted Advisor, NGB, visited First Army Division West June 18 to get a first hand look at how National Guard Soldiers are preparing for deployment in support of contingency operations. As part of his visit Grass held a town hall meeting on the state and future of the National Guard. Grass and Brush visited with Soldiers assigned to numerous states to include the Arkansas Army National Guard's 77th Combat Aviation Brigade.
