From left, Spc. Deffor Benjamin, a Gettysburg, Md., native, of 615th Engineer Company (Horizontal), 52nd Engineer Battalion, out of Fort Carson, Colo., and armed forces of Liberia Pfc. Matthew Cooper and nail the wood down under a pavilion of an Ebola treatment unit in Gbediah, Liberia, Dec. 19, 2014, in support of Operation United Assistance. Both forces worked together to build the ETU. Operation United Assistance is a Department of Defense operation in Liberia to provide logistics, training and engineering support to U.S. Agency for International Development-led efforts to contain the Ebola virus outbreak in western Africa.
