Gen. Jeong Byung-doo, Republic of Korea air force chief
Summary
Gen. Jeong Byung-doo, Republic of Korea air force chief of staff, United Nations Command, U.S. Forces Korea deputy commander and U.S. 7th Air Force commander, Lt. Gen. Terrence O'Shaughnessy and Lt. Gen. Wang-keon Lee, ROK Air Force Operations Command commander, discuss aircraft capabilities with pilots Feb. 17, 2016, following a flyover at Osan Air Base, South Korea. The flyover was conducted by four U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor fighter aircraft, ROKAF F-15 Slam Eagles and U.S. Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcons in response to recent provocative action by North Korea. “I would like to express my appreciation to the service members of the Pacific Command, 7th Air Force, and those of the ROK-U.S. alliance in particular, who successfully completed the combined operational flight today.” The F-22 is designed to project air dominance rapidly and at great distances and currently cannot be matched by any known or projected fighter aircraft.
