Gen. Sher Mohammad Karimi, Afghan National Army chief of general staff, speaks to foreign ambassadors, NATO forces and Afghan service members during a briefing in the auditorium at Kabul Military Training Center, Afghanistan, Sept. 6. Karimi thanked the international community for their support in the effort to develop a sustaining Afghan security force, and gave specific examples of improvements made to their premier air force in Shindand. More than 35 countries were represented by their respective ambassadors and senior representatives, who viewed static ANA displays of artillerymen, soldiers, communications, navigation and counter IED teams, toured Literacy Village and received a special tactical demonstration by Afghan commandos.
