Summary

Gunnery Sgt. Justin Robertson, a West Paducah, Ky., and an explosive ordnance disposal technician with 2nd EOD Company, Combat Logistics Regiment 2, assists Afghan National Civil Order Police Sergeant First Class Jamal Nasir, an Explosive Hazard Reduction Course instructor with the 7th Brigade ANCOP, prepare a mock IED for a patrol at the brigade's headquarters in Lashkar Gah, Helmand Province, Afghanistan, May 3. While Nasir and Sergeant Second Class Najibullah Rasooli are teaching the course, Robertson is responsible for guiding the two to teach effectively. The method, known as "train the trainer," has become widely used in Afghanistan by Security Force Assistance personnel. It's an important strategy and one in which the success of the Afghan National Security Forces is dependent on as coalition troops draw down in Afghanistan.
