NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (March 22, 2019) Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Kaitlyn Williams, a surgical technologist aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73), poses for a photo after returning from temporary assigned duty aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) during its one-month composite training unit exercise (COMPTUEX). George Washington is undergoing refueling complex overhaul (RCOH) at Newport News Shipyard. RCOH is a nearly four-year project performed only once during a carrier's 50-year service life that includes refueling of the ship's two nuclear reactors, as well as significant repair, upgrades and modernization.
