DETROIT -- Cmdr. Daniel Travers, commanding officer, Air Station Detroit, and Petty Officer 2nd Class Just Lewis, an Aviation Electronics Technician from Air Station Detroit, energize an air compressor to be used while volunteers from Air Station Detroit build a house as part of Habitat for Humanity. Founded in 1976, Habitat for Humanity aims to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world, and has built more than 300,000 homes around the world, providing more then 1.5 million people with shelter.
