Tourist Attraction - HURRICANE ISABEL AFTERMATH
Summary
WASHINGTON, D.C. (Sept. 21, 2003)--At the request of the Coast Guard, Coast Guard Auxiliary boat crews from Divisions 2 and 14, aboard Coast Guard Auxiliary Occoquan, VA Flotilla 14-06 Vessels 24999 and 43118, conducted special patrols on the Potomac River and adjoining waterways on September 20 and 21, 2003, to determine and report on the effects of Hurricane Isabel to the aids to navigation and maritime environment. While patrolling the Neabsco Creek in Woodbridge, VA, the crew of the 24999 observed the Hurricane's devastation of what was previously a vibrant marina.
