Iron Man Triathlon World Championships

KAILUA-KONA, Hawaii - Master Chief Petty Officer Mike Ferreira, Command Master Chief for the 14th Coast Guard District, zips by during the Iron Man Triathlon World Championships, at Kona, Hawaii, Oct. 7, 2010.
Ferreira completed a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile bike race and a 26 mile marathon finishing with a time of 10:10:33, placing 3rd out of all military men.
Lt. Rachael Beckmann, support officer aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Walnut, also represented the Coast Guard during the race and finished with a time of 11:31:37, 2nd out of all military women.
