Jacob Murillo fires a simulated rocket propelled grenade during a force on force training exercise at Fort Bliss, Texas, July 15, 2017. This annual exercise provides a test-bed for emerging concepts and capabilities in an operationally realistic and rigorous environment. This NIE is different from past events, due to participation by the 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team of the 101st Airborne (Air Assault) Division. This will allow the Army to better inform and enhance readiness efforts, highlighting how a highly expeditionary light infantry unit uses network capability for its mission objectives.
