Japan Ground Self-Defense Force soldiers take down a kidnapper during as part of a simulated situation during Exercise Guard and Protect at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan, Oct. 20-23, 2015. Guard and Protect is a joint security force operation to promote readiness in case the station has to make a defense posture.
