KANDAHAR AIRFIELD, Afghanistan (Sept. 13, 2018) -- Soldiers from Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division and an advisor assigned to the 40th Infantry Division, California National Guard engage a target, Sept. 13, 2018, a Guardian Angel Live Fire Exercise at a range on Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan. Soldiers from Company A serve as guardian angels for advisors assigned to Train, Advise and Assist Command-South who conduct routine advisory missions with Afghan National army and National Police members throughout Kandahar Province.
