Lance Cpl. Ian Compton, a Small Arms Repairer/Technician with the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit 1 Marine Expeditionary Unit is a native of Stockton California and was recruited out of Marine Corps Recruiting Sub-Station Stockton Recruiting Station Sacramento, 12th Marine Corps District, on Wilcox Range, Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., Feb. 14, 2020. Compton joined the U.S. Marine Corps because he always felt a strong desire to serve his country. The California-based 13th MEU is scalable, and highly capable Marine Air-Ground Task Force, designed to rapidly respond to a wide range of military operations globally.
