Summary
Local villagers hold a dog, allowing U.S. Army Captain Jill Lynn, 402nd Civil Affairs Battalion veterinarian, to examine it, June 7, during a veterinary civic action project in the rural village of Lolachat, Uganda. This is the first part of a three phase VETCAP sponsored through the collaborative efforts of Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa, the Ugandan government and the U.S. Embassy in Uganda. Vaccines were distributed to treat and prevent encephalitis and rabies to help eradicate of several forms of intestinal parasites.
