Maj. Gen. Gregory J. Vadnais, the Adjutant General of Michigan, speaks with paratroopers from 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade, and Latvia’s 1st Infantry Battalion, Land Forces Infantry Brigade following a training exercise May 25, 2014, at Military Camp Adazi, Latvia. The state of Michigan is partnered with Latvia through the National Guard State Partnership Program. Vadnais is in Latvia observing the ongoing training, which includes a Michigan Army National Guard unmanned aerial surveillance platoon. The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) was established in 1934 by President Franklin Roosevelt.
