Maj. Gen. James W. Lukeman, commanding general, 2nd Marine Division, and Sgt. Maj. Bryan K. Zickefoose, sergeant major, 2nd Marine Division, present Cpl. Kyle Wellmon, squad leader, 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, with an Annual Rifle Squad Competition badge in front of the general's building here July 18, 2014. The ceremony marks the first time in more than a decade that 2nd Marine Division has conducted the competition and awarded the Annual Rifle Squad Combat Practice Competition Badge. Wellmon and his squad defeated two other squads in a four-day competition that tested the infantrymen both physically and mentally, with challenges including an endurance hike, combat fitness test, marksmanship, and defensive and offensive operations.

The Defense Visual Information Distribution Service provides a connection between world media and the American military personnel serving at home and abroad. All of these materials are preserved because they are important to the workings of Government, have long-term research worth, or provide information of value to citizens.
