Maj. Gen. John Sullivan, commanding general, 1st Theater Sustainment Command, speaks at the 1188th Transportation Battalion transfer of authority ceremony at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, June 11, 2020. During their tenure in the Middle East, which was extended due to COVID-19, Soldiers of the 1184th Trans. Bn. supported 185 unit moves with 58 vessel missions, from the busiest Port in the Central Command area of operations. Over a span of 44 weeks, with an average of 1.28 vessel missions per week, they moved 18, 417 pieces of cargo. The newly arrived 1184th Trans. Bn. spent several weeks side-by-side with 1188th Trans. The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) was established in 1934 by President Franklin Roosevelt.
