Maj. Jamie Swartz, an ear nose and throat surgeon, and her assistant, Staff Sgt. Robyn Wilcox, prepare a patient for an open septorhinoplasty on a patient in the Craig Joint Theater Hospital on Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan, July 22, 2013. The procedure performed separated his nose into a left and right side straightening the septum and bones, reducing the obstruction and allowing the patient to breathe better.
