Summary
MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII – Military, civilian and government representatives attend the Marine Corps Installations Partnership Program meeting at the Officers’ Club aboard Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Sept. 19, 2016. The purpose of the program is to create partnerships between local commands and the community, reduce operating and service costs and enhance community relations. There are many logistical issues throughout the local community, military and government, such as shortage of workers, equipment, resources. Tasked with finding mutual solutions for the Marine Corps is Marstell-Day LLC, who was contracted to reduce waste and improve resources between the organizations and the community. Benefits from possible partnerships include: measurable gains, enhancing community connections and negotiations, diminish budget challenges, alleviate impact of staff reductions and hiring freezes, and sharing routine municipal services expenses.
