Marines engage in amphibious landing and assault drills while exiting amphibious assault vehicles from USS Ashland during Blue Chromite 18, November 2, 2017, in Okinawa, Japan. The Marines simulated an attack on the enemy to complete the objective. The central location of Blue Chromite allows the Navy-Marine Corps team to conduct high-level training without degrading its ability to rapidly respond to crises and disasters throughout the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
