Marines with Combat Logistics Battalion 31, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, deliver notional food and water during a Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief exercise at Kin Blue Training Area, Okinawa, Japan, March 17, 2017. The Marines practiced search-and-rescue, supply distribution and crowd control techniques during Amphibious Integrated Training, as a part of the MEU’s 17.1 Spring Patrol. As the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward deployed unit, the 31st MEU’s air-ground-logistics team provides a flexible force, ready to perform a wide range of military operations, from limited combat to humanitarian assistance operations, throughout the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
