Marines with the Meteorology and Oceanography section
Summary
Marines with the Meteorology and Oceanography section of Marine Corps Air Station Kaneohe Bay, Marine Corps Base Hawaii, use this thermal environment monitor to hourly track changes in weather conditions. The monitor uses a thermometer as well as distilled water to determine environmental conditions. The METOC department takes hourly readings to compile reports for all units who rely on the information to craft flight plans, execute operations and conduct physical training.
