Summary

The Amphibious Construction Battalion (ACB) 1 tow tug heads toward the Maritime Administration transport oiler SS Chesapeake (T-AOT 5084). Naval Beach Group (NBG) 1 and ACB-1, both home-ported in Coronado, Calif. and Underwater Construction Team (UCT) 1, home-ported in Little Creek, Va., installed the legacy Offshore Petroleum Discharge System (OPDS) in Oman to replace the existing multi-point mooring system that has been condemned beyond repair.
