Members of the Red Team discuss hacking the Blue Teams’ systems during Cyber Shield 2016 and were waiting for them to fight back during the virtual war games at Camp Atterbury, Ind., April 25, 2016. Participants from 47 states and territories represent both teams. During the second week of the exercise, the Red Team injects different cyber-attack scenarios that the Blue Team has to first detect, and then defend in their virtual playground. CS 16 is an Army National Guard cyber training exercise being held April 18 to 29, 2016, designed to develop cyber-capable forces including over 900 Soldiers, Marines, airmen, sailors and civilians from other federal agencies.
