Mr. Stan Loer (left) and U.S. Army retired colonel Davide Burpee (right) pose together after meeting for the first time at a Dec. 7 rememberance dinner, Dec. 6, 2016, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. Loer and Burpee were both born at Tripler Army Medical Center on the island of Oahu on Dec. 7, 1941. They participcated in a dinner that was part of a week long celebration commemorating the 75th anniversary of the attacks on Pearl Harbor, Hickam Field and Oahu.
