Newly installed equipment lockers stand ready for stowage

Newly installed equipment lockers stand ready for stowage at the North Carolina National Guard’s Boone Army Readiness Center. The NCNG Logistics and Special Projects team joined with NCNG Safety Office to initiate a program responsible for identifying space requirements and resources that would ultimately provide a cost effective method of preventing equipment property loss by installing wall lockers and performing lead abatement in order to ensure areas are not contaminated before installation is initiated. This project, which started in the summer of 2012, has helped the National Guard as a whole save millions of dollars in loss of Organizational Clothing and Individual Equipment (OCIE).
