Summary

Officers from Jordan and the United Arab Emirates look at various tactical vehicles within the USNS 1st Lt. Baldomero Lopez, during a ship tour May 28, 2014, at the Port of Aqaba, Jordan. Approximately 30 generals from five different continents participated in the event, which demonstrated Maritime Prepositioning Force capabilities. The tour was a part of Exercise Eager Lion 2014, which is a recurring, multi-national exercise designed to strengthen military-to-military relationships and enhance regional security and stability by responding to modern-day security scenarios. The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service. The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) was established in 1934 by President Franklin Roosevelt. The Defense Visual Information Distribution Service provides a connection between world media and the American military personnel serving at home and abroad. All of these materials are preserved because they are important to the workings of Government, have long-term research worth, or provide information of value to citizens.
